UFC OTTAWA ANNOUNCED WITH SEVERAL BOUTS INCLUDING DEREK BRUNSON VS. ELIAS THEODOROU

This week, UFC Fight Night 150 was formally announced and the occasion will take place May 4 at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. In addition to declaring that the card, a range of bouts are revealed, and here they are under along with my initial thoughts on these.
Derek Brunson vs. Elias Theodorou, UFC Fight Night 150
The most crucial fight announced for this particular card thus much is a middleweight bout between top-15 fighters Derek Brunson and Elias Theodorou. Brunson (18-7) is 9-5 from the UFC and is coming off of back-to-back KO losses to Israel Adesanya and Ronaldo”Jacare” Souza. Theodorou (16-2) is 8-2 in the UFC and has won his last three fights such as a decision win over Eryk Anders in his last outing. Brunson has the wrestling and power however Theodorou has the cardio and chin. Tough one to call but I would have to favor Theodorou at this stage.
Arjan Bhullar vs. Juan Adams, UFC Fight Night 150
A fun heavyweight bout sees Arjan Bhullar take on Juan Adams. Bhullar (8-1) is 2-1 in the UFC and won a decision over Marcelo Golm his last struggle. Adams (5-0) has won all five of his pro fights by TKO including a knockout over Chris de la Rocha in his UFC debut. Although Bhullar has solid wrestling, I believe Adams is a top-level prospect and would make him a big favorite here.
Sarah Moras vs. Leah Letson, UFC Fight Night 150
Women’s bantamweight Sarah Moras will take on Leah Letson. Moras (5-4) is 2-3 in the UFC and has lost her last two fights. Letson (5-1) is on a five-fight win streak including a success in her UFC debut. Moras is fade cloth and I would heavily favor Letson to get the win here.
Brad Katona vs. Merab Dvalishvili, UFC Fight Night 150
Bantamweight prospect Brad Katona will find a step up when he takes on Merab Dvalishvili. Katona (8-0) is 2-0 in the UFC and only mastered Matthew Lopez in his last fight after winning TUF. Dvalishvili (8-4) is currently 1-2 in the UFC and is coming off of a decision win over Terrion Ware in his final fight. Katona is an excellent prospect and Dvalishvili is an excellent test for him at the stage of his career. It is a tough one to call here but given the reality Katona remains undefeated, not to mention Canadian, I believe you have to prefer him here.
Mitch Gagnon vs. Brian Kelleher, UFC Fight Night 150
Bantamweights in desperate need of wins will meet as Mitch Gagnon takes on Brian Kelleher. Gagnon (12-4) is 4-3 at the UFC and is coming from consecutive losses. Kelleher (19-10) is 3-3 at the UFC and has also lost his last two fights. Both guys are fade material but awarded Gagnon’s extended layoff you would need to slightly favor Kelleher in this one.
Marc-Andre Barriault vs. Andrew Sanchez, UFC Fight Night 150
Former TKO middleweight champion Marc-Andre Barriault will take on Andrew Sanchez in his UFC debut. Barriault (11-1) is coming off of eight wins in a row in TKO and is one of Canada’s best MMA prospects. Sanchez (10-4) is 3-2 at the UFC and defeated Markus Perez by decision in his final fight. Sanchez is a solid fighter but I believe Barriault is going to be very good and I would certainly prefer him to get the win in the capital of Canada.
Aiemann Zahabi vs. Vince Morales, UFC Fight Night 150
And finally, bantamweights Aiemann Zahabi and Vince Morales will fight. Zahabi (7-1) is 1-1 at the UFC and lost to Ricardo Ramos via KO in his last fight. Morales (8-3) lost his UFC debut to Yadong Song. This one could go either but I would prefer Zahabi just due to the fact he will be fighting so close to home.
